Key milestones in the development of Eastbourne Healthcare Partnership Limited (EHP)
Formation & Joint Venture
Eastbourne Healthcare Partnership Limited (EHPL) was formed in 2005. The company was established as a joint venture between Apollo Centres for Health Limited (ACfH) and Princes Park Health Centre to provide clinical services from a primary care location to meet the needs of the local population, to avoid unnecessary delays in diagnosis and treatment experienced in secondary care referrals and to provide care “closer to home” in line with the governments plan of “out of hospital” care in the community. ACfH provided the capital and building management expertise whilst the practice provided the clinical lead.
Investment in Diagnostic Imaging
The company invested in X-ray equipment linked to reporting Radiologists in support of the Orthopaedic Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service (CATS) that is now replaced by the MSK East service. EHPL also invested in DXA technology to provide a scanning service for Osteoporosis and we now offer this service from both Eastbourne and Hastings areas.
Launch of (NOUS)
As part of our commitment EHPL commenced the non obstetric ultrasound service (NOUS) in 2015 and we deliver this service from a number of locations Seaford, Hailsham, Eastbourne and Hastings with other sites operational soon.
NHS Partnership & Service Integration
EHPL is privately owned however, 98% of our work is on behalf of the NHS commissioned locally and it is NHS patients who benefit from our expertise and experience in delivering clinical services from fit for purpose, well equipped primary care premises, linked via state of the art information systems that relay radiographic images to consultants for expert opinion and advice. The organisation is “Clinical Led and Clinically Driven”.
Sitting alongside our delivered services in Eastbourne, we host other providers both private and NHS that complement our core business from our medical centre.
